On Tuesday we did a simulation of hot gas inrush which occurs during the flight of the REXUS rocket, to test the camera’s ability to withstand temperatures above 200°C.

new components have arrived!

Core System has arrivedYesterday some new items have arrived, including the MIO-2260 Board, a small embedded computer which will be used as our Core System. Since today was the last exam for this semester, we’re looking forward to start implementing a first prototype of our operating system in the next few days, even if a few thermal and vacuum tests are still need to be done!

first components tested under low-pressure conditions!

blogpost_power_vacuumOn June 20th we tested four DC/DC Converter in the vacuum chamber of the Chair of Information Technology VIII at our university under low-pressure conditions (up to 0.1mbar) with the help of Oleksii Balagurin, to ensure that  the electrolytic capacitors which are used
